ABOUT JAMES LEES

As a VDC Manager/Managing partner at Precision Mechanical Drafting, James specializes in providing 3D modeling and coordination services for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems for trade contractors.  He also specializes in BIM/ MEP coordination management on behalf of construction managers and design professionals during the design and pre-construction phase of projects.

James holds a degree in applied science of computer aided drafting and design.  He began his career in 2007 working for an MEP Consulting Engineering firm, where he learned how to design mechanical and plumbing stems, eventually rising to the position of MEP coordination department manager.  James further crafted his MEP coordination experience working for one of the leading mechanical and plumbing contractors in the New England region. While working there, he gained invaluable field experience and practical knowledge of the actual construction process and helped to implement their coordination and shop pre-fabrication departments from scratch.  Through his experience working on both sides of the construction aisle, he brings to the table a unique understanding of both MEP design engineering and applied construction coordination.
